A restaurant on a farm, selling produce and baked goods, brewing ales and cider in house? It just makes sense. The farm literally couldn’t be any closer to the table.

Farm Club Service CounterFarm Club lies nestled on 35 acres of farmland just 7 miles north of downtown Traverse City, and easily accessed by the TART trail.

Farm Club Outdoor TerraceThe concept was a collaboration between the owners of The Little Fleet and Loma Farm, officially opened its doors in July of 2020 after several years of planning.

Owners Gary and Allison Jonas of The Little Fleet and Sara and Nic Theisen of Loma Farm are quick to point out that they are a farm—first and foremost—complemented by a 4,500 square-foot restaurant, brewery, and marketplace.

Farm Club Fresh BreadEssentials including pantry staples, local produce, and prepared foods are stocked just inside the front entrance. The bakery offers two varieties of bread, whole loaf or pre-sliced.

Farm Club BoardsThe restaurant is headed by Chef Abra Berens and the menu features vegetables grown on-site and at Loma Farm, changing seasonally to highlight the best and freshest ingredients available. Dips and spreads are paired with platters of smoked fish, cured meat, and regional cheeses. The outdoor patio overlooks the farm and heirloom apple orchard.

Farm Club Ales and OlivesLibations include a selection of ales and lagers brewed using a 10-barrel system located on the premises (canned beer is available to go), while ciders and wine are served in collaboration with area partners.

Farm Club MerchandiseLaunching the project in the middle of a pandemic wasn’t without its challenges, but the roomy interior and outdoor seating allows guests plenty of space to keep spread well apart. All guests must wear a mask unless seated, and all tables are cleaned and sanitized between parties. Fire pits will help ease the transition into cooler weather.

Farm Fresh Produce at Farm ClubThe owners are eager to share this agricultural destination with the public, and tours of the farm are both welcome and encouraged. All of the staff are required to work at least one shift a week in the fields to help grow, harvest, and learn about the ingredients served at Farm Club each and every day.
