Boating

For boaters, both power and sail, the combination of Lake Michigan and 26 inland lakes with sparkling, clean waters combine to make  a perfect destination. Lake Michigan and two of the most attractive inland lakes - Big and Little Glen - are accessible from public launches in Glen Arbor. There are two marinas that offer power and sailboat rental on Glen Lake– On the Narrows and Glencraft. Be sure to book well in advance during peak season! Canoers, kayakers, and stand-up paddle boarders have more options.

Guests and members of The Homestead can rent stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, and other small craft at the mouth of the Crystal River. Crystal River Outfitters offers canoe and kayak rental, as well as guided tours for groups. All About Water offers kayak rentals and guided tours. Sleeping Bear Surf and Paddle offers kayak and surfboard rentals, as well as instruction.  Great views and great memories available from all locations!
