Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Listed Among the "Best Beaches in the Great Lakes"

Did you know the Great Lakes shoreline covers nearly 11,000 miles, 3,288 of which are along Michigan’s coast? With so much freshwater coastline to enjoy, USA Today Travel went on a search this summer for the “Best Beaches in the Great Lakes,” and listed among the contenders… the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore!

Located just 25 miles west of Traverse City, the Sleeping Bear Dunes’ white-sand beaches offer visitors a view unlike any other with majestic bluffs towering 450 feet above the beautiful, Caribbean blue waters of Lake Michigan.
